The Renogy Cabin Solution is a fully matched, pre-engineered system. Every component is selected to work together — no compatibility guesswork, no spec-sheet matching, no forum deep-dives. You open boxes and start building.
All components included: panels, batteries, inverter charger, and DC breakers. Image: Renogy
8 × 320W N-Type Monocrystalline Panels
2,560W total array. N-type cells deliver better performance in low light and degrade slower than P-type — expect 90%+ output at year 25. Roof-mount or ground-mount compatible.
20.48kWh LiFePO4 Battery Bank
Four Renogy 12.8V 200Ah CORE series batteries. LiFePO4 chemistry means 4,000+ cycle life, built-in BMS protection, and safe operation from -4°F to 140°F. That's over a decade of daily cycling. 20kWh powers a full cabin through the night and into the next cloudy day.
48V 3500W Solar Inverter Charger
All-in-one unit: MPPT charge controller + pure sine wave inverter + battery charger. Handles the full solar array input, charges the battery bank, and outputs clean 120V AC for your cabin's electrical panel. 3,500W continuous handles a fridge, lights, TV, laptop, fans, and power tools simultaneously.
DC Circuit Breakers Included
Pre-matched breakers for the DC side of the system. This is the part most DIY builders forget or get wrong — Renogy includes them because they designed the system as a single, code-aware package.
What This System Powers
With 2,560W of solar input and 20.48kWh of storage, this kit covers the full electrical load of a typical off-grid cabin or tiny house. Here's what that looks like in daily use:
Why Buy a Complete Kit?
Piecing together a cabin solar system from individual components works — we have a whole guide on that approach. But a pre-matched kit eliminates the three biggest risks DIY builders face:
Voltage mismatches, undersized charge controllers, wrong cable gauges — the #1 cause of off-grid system failures. Renogy pre-validates every connection in this kit.
Too little battery for the array, or too much array for the controller. This kit is balanced: 2,560W of solar into a 3,500W inverter with 20.48kWh of storage. The ratios are right.
DC breakers, fuses, and disconnects are the parts people forget until inspection day. This kit includes them. You'll still need racking, AC wiring, and a subpanel — but the solar-specific components are complete.
The Federal Tax Credit Ended December 31, 2025
The 30% federal Investment Tax Credit (Section 25D) that used to apply to solar components and batteries was repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and ended December 31, 2025. A kit you buy and own in 2026 receives no federal credit — the $2,535 a credit would once have knocked off this kit no longer applies. Solar leases and PPAs can still use the commercial Section 48E credit through 2027, and many states still offer their own credits or rebates.
What's NOT Included (You'll Need These Too)
The Renogy kit covers the solar-specific components. You'll still need the structural and electrical materials to complete the installation:
